Northville's American Legion Post 147 is named for Private Lloyd H. Green who was killed on October 2, 1918 while fighting in the Argonne Forest
of France just three days before his 19th. birthday. The armistice ending W.W.I. was signed just five weeks
later on November 11, 1918.
